SV 104A is a standards-compliant personal noise dosimeter for occupational noise assessments that minimizes workflow interruptions and improves data reliability. It streamlines monitoring with three independent profiles and time-history logging (TWA, DOSE, LEX,8h, Leq/Peak/Max/Min), while Bluetooth® remote readout—the key upgrade as the successor to SV 104—allows checks without disturbing the worker.
Designed to IEC 61252 and ANSI S1.25-1991 (R2020) and used under ISO 9612, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.95, and MSHA, it supports flexible exchange rates (2/3/4/5/6 dB) and criterion levels. A built-in triaxial vibration sensor flags shock- or motion-induced artefacts, while optional firmware add-ons—1/1-octave, 1/3-octave, and triggered audio recording—aid source recognition and hearing-protection selection.

Key technical details include a MEMS microphone with a lifetime warranty, designed for durability and precision, even in harsh industrial environments. The microphone is resistant to shocks and drops, ensuring long-term stability and measurement accuracy. The SV 104A also offers an extensive measurement range, from 43 dBA to 141 dBA, covering a wide spectrum of noise levels encountered in various industries.
Occupational Noise
Noise Measurements for Regulatory Compliance
The SV 104A personal noise dosimeter is designed for occupational noise measurements in accordance with standards such as ISO 9612, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.95, MSHA, and ACGIH. It ensures compliance with OSHA's noise exposure regulations, which define permissible noise limits and outline the requirements for hearing conservation programs. The dosimeter accurately measures personal noise exposure levels, including the 8-hour Time-Weighted Average (TWA) of 90 dBA and the action level of 85 dBA, helping companies assess noise risks and implement effective hearing conservation measures. This makes the SV 104A an essential tool for ensuring workplace safety and maintaining regulatory compliance.
