During the measurement SVAN 959 uses three independent profiles. Filters and RMS detector time constants can be differently set in each profile. This solution allows to obtain measurement results such as Leq, LMax, LMin, LPeak, Spl or SEL RMS, PEAK, VDV, MTVV with different frequency and time weighing in the same time. This feature is extremely valuable when the comparison of measurements is required.
Moreover, instrument is able to perform advanced measurement techniques like MLS, TDS etc. thanks to built-in sophisticated signal generator (option).
SVAN 959 is designed for easy communication with computers using built-in ports USB client and USB host. In practice it means full remote control over the instrument from the PC.
Fast USB 1.1 interface (12 MHz) creates real time link for the PC "front-end" application of the SVAN 959 instrument. The cable for the communication with the PC is provided in standard. Instrument can be also remotely controlled by PC using the RS 232 or IrDA interfaces (options).
USB host exceeds memory limitation allowing the direct data storage on the USB memory stick. Optionally, SVAN 959 can record a raw audio data to a flash disk in WAV format, so the sources of noise can be played back and identified by listening (Time Domain Signal Recording). The audio events recording function is very useful in measurements requiring unattended monitoring.
Easy communication with the PC is supported by the free of charge software SvanPC+. This already advanced and user-friendly software can be optionally upgraded to provide remote communication with the SVAN 959 instrument by the GPRS wireless transmission or RS 232 interface using generally available serial port extender devices. This exceptional feature makes SVAN 959 the leading product for measurements in field (environmental monitoring).
SVAN 959 is powered from NiMH standard or rechargeable AA batteries. The powering of the instrument from the External DC power source or USB interface is also provided.
Robust and light weight design accomplishes the exceptional features of this new generation instrument.
