Single Range Sound Level Meter

 

 

 

SVAN 955 is all digital, Type 1 sound level meter. Instrument is intended to general acoustic measurements, environmental noise monitoring, occupational health and safety monitoring.

Three acoustic profiles allow parallel measurements with independently defined filters and RMS detector time-constants. Each profile provides significant number of results (like Leq, LMax, LMin, LPeak, Spl, SEL etc.). Using computational power of its digital signal processor the SVAN 955 instrument can, simultaneously to the meter mode, perform real-time 1/1 or 1/3 octave analysis including statistical calculation. Advanced time-history logging for each profile provides complete information about measured signal in non-volatile 16 MB internal memory or external USB Memory Stick and can be easy downloaded to any PC using USB interface and SvanPC+ software.

Acoustic dosimeter function is available with the SV 25_2 dedicated microphone. Fast USB 1.1 interface (12 MHz) creates real-time link for the PC “front-end” application of the SVAN 955 instrument. It can be controlled and the measurement results can be also downloaded to any PC using the RS 232 or IrDA interfaces.

Instrument can be offered with GPRS modem, LAN & WLAN connection module. Together with SvanPC++_RC remote communication software, these interfaces provide easy remote access to instrument settings & data over internet and local area network.

Instrument is powered from four AA standard or rechargeable batteries (separate charger is required). The powering of the instrument from the external DC power source or USB interface is also provided. Robust case and light weight design accomplish the exceptional features of this new generation instrument.
